We are open for business!! This marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter for The Chop Shop Butchery in Corringham. We’ve opened our doors with a simple mission: to preserve the charm and trust our valued customers have long relied on, while introducing fresh ideas, modern techniques, and a personal touch that reflects who we are.
Our focus is on quality produce and care. We take pride in sourcing ethically raised meat, building strong relationships with local suppliers, and ensuring that every cut leaving our counter is prepared with skill and attention. For us, it’s not just about selling meat – it’s about sharing our love of good food and helping customers bring the best ingredients to their tables.
Our reopening was celebrated with a ‘Tantalising Tasting’ event on Saturday 10th November. Visitors sampled everything from premium steaks and succulent sausages to artisan cheeses, chutneys, and specialty products.
We can’t wait to see familiar faces return and welcome new customers discovering us for the first time!

We’ve created a space that feels modern and fresh while still holding onto the charm of a traditional butcher shop. Bright, welcoming, and practical, the new layout highlights our premium cuts in the counter and showcases carefully curated accompaniments on the shelves – from sauces and chutneys to artisan cheeses and ready-to-cook options. It’s more than just aesthetics; it’s about creating a shopping experience that feels professional, inviting, and familiar all at once.
We’re thrilled to welcome back Alan, along with some of the original team that long-time customers know and love. Their experience, knowledge, and friendly faces, combined with our energy and fresh ideas, have created a team we are proud of. Together, we’re building a shop that respects the past while looking confidently to the future.
