The Chop Shop Butchery are thrilled to launch the Thurrock Young Chefs Competition—a fun, engaging, and inspiring community cooking contest designed especially for the young foodies of Thurrock who enjoy cooking.

We’re on the lookout for creative, passionate, and adventurous young chefs to step into the spotlight and show off their culinary skills. Whether you’re a whiz on the BBQ or love to get creative in the kitchen this is your chance to shine and showcase your talent!

WHO CAN ENTER?

We have two age categories

• Mini Chef 5 to 10 years
• Junior Chef 11 to 16 years

THE CHALLENGE:

1. To create and produce an original recipe
2. Cook it at home – (with adult supervision if needed)
3. Send us your entry:
   • A short video (2–3 mins) of you cooking and presenting your recipe or a photo of your finished dish.
   • Submit your written recipe, and a few lines about your inspiration.

PRIZES

One winner per age group:

• Best recipe

Prizes: £150 gift vouchers to spend at The Chop Shop Butchery PLUS £50 in Foodie Goodies.

• Winners announced: Saturday 6th September
